During Staff Appreciation Week, we want to recognize and thank Alexis Close, our amazing permanent substitute at South Coffeyville Schools! ❤️🦁 Alexis is always willing to step in wherever she is needed and does an incredible job supporting our students and staff each day. Being a permanent substitute means no two days are ever the same, but she handles every situation with flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude. From managing the countless details behind the scenes in the business office to supporting our athletic programs and student athletes, she helps keep so many parts of our school running smoothly each day. During Staff Appreciation Week, we are celebrating two very important members of our Lion family—our elementary and high school secretaries! 💙🦁 Tia, AKA school nurse, secretary, bus driver, coach...keeps the elementary running smoothly with the perfect balance of love and firmness. From answering phones, to managing shot records, to tracking attendance, she is such an important part of our school family! And then there’s Hali at the high school… who I accidentally caught giving her best “strict business only” look in her photo 😂 We promise she does smile sometimes! In all seriousness, Hali works incredibly hard to keep everything organized and taken care of at the high school. She also makes sure all classes are covered (for the entire school) when various staff are gone for different things. She is a true Lion at heart and her love of this school shows daily! We appreciate all Hali does for our students and staff. Thank you both for everything you do to keep South Coffeyville Schools running each and every day!

Project Palace is Monday, May 11 from 5:30 to 7:00 in the gym. All student projects will be on display. OPEN to the PUBLIC.

The annual Project Palace is Monday, May 11 from 5:30-7:00 pm. It is mandatory for all of my students who have created at least one project this school year. It is worth 300 points.

This event is open to the public. Come check out what we've been up to. You won't regret it.

During Staff Appreciation Week, we want to take a moment to recognize someone who plays a vital role in keeping our school safe every single day—our School Resource Officer, Officer Mike Talbott. Officer Talbott goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Whether he’s building positive relationships with students, offering guidance, or simply being a reassuring presence in our hallways, his impact is felt throughout our entire school. We are incredibly grateful for his dedication, commitment, and the care he shows to our Lion family each day. Thank you, Officer Talbott, for all that you do! 🦁💙
