SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK TIDBITS HELLO PARENTS! Welcome Back to School!! Here are a couple of helpful tidbits to help your child in having a successful school year. Just a reminder, if you haven't already, set up a bedtime routine for your child now is a good time to start. Once a routine is established bedtime will go a lot smoother. *If your child is getting enough sleep, it will help them to be more attentive during class, as they are not fighting sleep. This in turn makes it easier to learn. *Also when kids get enough sleep there are less behavior issues! How much sleep should your child get? Preschool (3-5 years). need 10-13 hours School age (6-13 years). need 9-11 hours Teens (14-17 years). need 8-10 hours Hope everyone has a super great school year!! Your School Social Worker Lisa Pruter LCSW, LSCSW

Yesterday I asked the school community to help us buy a new mascot costume. Within 4 hours I had the total amount pledged...$1495!! I had 15 pledges, and of that 15, 12 were SC alumni! The other 3 were parents/grandparents! There were other alumni who offered after the total amount was pledged. I'll hit them later for something else lol. I am so in awe of how quickly it all happened. Thank you all so much! #GoLions #RoarPride
