Update 3/27/20

South Coffeyville School Families,

At this time all activities for South Coffeyville School have been postponed indefinitely to adhere to the state’s regulations. These activities include athletics, prom, graduation, Kindergarten Roundup, etc. We are working on a Continuous Learning Plan and will be making an announcement in the near future of what that will consist of. This is going to be a new way of learning for all of us, so please be patient. We will try and address some questions and concerns very soon. Please be watching for a survey to come out regarding internet access.

Here is a link to a great list of resources to use while your children are unable to attend school. At the bottom of the document there are tabs that break down the resources into educational categories.  All South Coffeyville students have a personalized login for IXL, as this is a resource the school pays for, and has been using this year. Their dashboard on IXL is tailored to their specific needs. Please email kbauer@scps.k12.ok.us if you need their login information.

UPDATE MARCH 17, 2020

Dear South Coffeyville School District Families:

We are committed to keeping you informed as we are informed. Please keep in mind this situation can change moment by moment and therefore our plan to deal with it could also change. As of the current information here are some things to know:

  • There will be no instruction taking place for the closure put into place from March 17- April 6, 2020. Students are able to continue working on any previously assigned assignments/projects during this time, but deadlines for these will be extended to suit the time out of school. This is as of NOW and if this changes and instruction will be provided via online or with packets we will let you know. There are many resources available online for free during this time for students or parents who wish to provide enrichment activities from home. We are working on a list of these resources and will post them when it is finished.
  • All students have an assigned IXL account and are able to work from home on that. There will not be a grade given for these, nor is it required, but it is an excellent educational resource. Please contact kbauer@scps.k12.ok.us if you need your student’s login information.
  • If your child has medication or other necessities that have been left at the school, arrangements can be made to pick those up starting Monday, March 23rd between the hours of 9-2.

March 162020

Dear South Coffeyville School District Families:

The health and safety of our students, staff and community is our top priority. On Monday, March 16, 2020 the Oklahoma State Department of Education enacted an emergency board meeting. The OSDE voted to make all accredited schools in Oklahoma close from March 17- April 6 in an effort to address the COVID-19 global pandemic.

As a reminder, beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 thru at least Monday, April 6, 2020 South Coffeyville School will be closed. This includes all activities, practices, programs, etc.

District Administration continues to coordinate with local and state health officials to remain as up to date as possible regarding COVID-19. We will provide accurate information and ask that you monitor our Facebook page and our website for updates.
